zoom effect shot

This is a photo I took of a football. I thought it would be cool to take a zoom effect of a football because it would look like it had just been caught after being thrown really far.

Lines shot

This is a photo I took of my guitar. I thought it would be really cool to take a lines shot of the guitar right after I strummed the strings from the top of the guitar.

Panning shot

This is a photo I took of my little brother skating. It was a really difficult photo to take because my tripod was really wobbly, so I just took it a ton of times until I got a good photo.

Simplicity Shot

This is a picture I took of a flower. I know this type of photo is very common, I just felt like it was a really cool angle.

Framing shot

This is a picture I took of my girlfriend while we were standing on a bridge in Cincinnati. I thought it would be really cool to take a picture using the support beams of the bridge as a natural frame.

Bacardi flames (rule of thirds shot)

Late one night I decided to fill a glass with alcohol and light the alcohol on fire. I was inspired to take this photo because I want my photos to be avant-garde. I want to do something no-one has seen before or has even thought about doing. My inspiration is to inspire others to push the limits of what is normal or safe, and do something insane and ground-breaking.

Stop action

This photo is an example of stop action. This is a photo I took of my girlfriend jumping backwards off of a swing. To get this picture, I used a very fast shutter speed.

Short depth of field

This photo is an example of short depth of field. In this photo, the subject (the skateboard) is the only thing in focus, and the background is out of focus.

Great depth of field

This photo is an example of great depth of field. The subject of this photo is the flower in the center, but the entire photo is in focus. I took this picture by setting the aperture to f22 and slowing down the shutter speed.

Blurred action

This photo is an example of blurred action. For this picture, I took a large rock, tossed it into the creek, and took a picture of the splash the rock made. In order to get this picture I used a slower shutter speed and stepped into the shade so the light meter would be at zero.

Pinhole photography pic 3/3

This is the last picture I took using pinhole photography. This picture is of my iPhone. After taking all these pictures using pinhole photography, I really really appreciate the lens. I hated having to take around 50 pictures and scrolling through all of them to find one that looks just moderately recognizable.

Pinhole photography pic 2/3

This is a picture I took using pinhole photography. This is a picture of a two liter of coca cola. It's one of the few pictures I took using pinhole photography that is actually somewhat recognizable.

Pinhole photography pic 1/3

This is a picture I took using Pinhole photography. This is a picture of my beautiful girlfriend taking a picture of me with her SLR while I was taking a picture of her on my SLR. For those of you who do not know what pinhole photography is, it's when you take the lens off of your camera, put tin foil where the lens used to be and poke a small hole in the middle of the tin foil. It makes it impossible to manually focus on the subject of the picture. You just have to keep taking picture after picture until you get the clearest picture I possibly can. Pinhole photography is not used in professional photography, the only reason for pinhole photography in modern times is to make the photographer really understand the use of the lens and appreciate it.

The first of many pictures.

Sorry this is so blurry, it was taken on an Android. The rest of my photos will be taken on an SLR. In this photo I used forced perception to make my life group look like tiny people standing on top of a table.
